Upgrading Windham Sports Pages
I am
constantly looking for ways to improve
Windham Sports Pages. There are a few
sections to this page. The first section
are the upgrades that I have done. The
second section are upgrades I am working
on or that I am thinking about doing.
The final piece to this page is the
comment section where I want your input
on changes you would like to see done to
make your experience on Windham Sports
Pages more enjoyable.

"COMMENTS"
This is a
feature we use to have but has not been
functioning properly over the last
several months. I have been trying to
find a solution that makes sense and I
have decided to go with one that isn't
perfect, but it provides a lot of
positive features to enhance everyone's
experience on Windham Sports Pages.
There is (or will soon be) a facebook
comment box on the bottom every page on
Windham Sports Pages. You will have to
be logged into facebook to post a
comment to the story but everyone should
be able to see it without being logged
in. When you log in, facebook will ask
you to connect facebook to Windham
Sports Pages. This does not give me
access to anything on your profile, it
just allows what you type to go through
facebook's system. You can choose to
have your comment show up just on
Windham Sports Pages, or to post it on
your facebook profile so all your
friends can see what you posted. (At
this time comments will not print when
you print using the "Print this Page"
button)

"SHARE"
This is
another facebook feature that I decided
to integrate into Windham Sport Pages.
It allows you to share articles on
Windham Sports Pages with all of your
facebook friends. There is currently a
"Share" button at the top of the left
hand column underneath the new drop down
menus.

"PRINT THIS PAGE"
Over the
years I have had countless people
contact me to ask if I could print an
article for them so that it prints just
the article on a normal sized piece of
paper. I am happy to announce that you
can now print just the article portion
of any page on Windham Sports Pages. To
do this, click on the grey "Print this
Page" Button that is on the right side
of the page just below the "WSP
windhamsportspages.com" banner at the
top of the page. When you click on the
button it will open a new window that is
stropped of everything except the
article. The articles have been sized to
fit the width of 8.5x11" piece of paper
but they may take multiple pages to
cover the length of the article you are
printing. (At this time comments will
not print when you print using the
"Print this Page" button)

"DROP DOWN MENUS"
I decided
to do away with all of the individual
buttons that use to allow you to choose
which pages you wanted to visit. I think
the drop down menus look better and are
easier to use but please let me know in
the comment section below if you liked
the other way better.
FUTURE UPGRADES
I will add
some of the ideas I am considering soon.
