Tennis Tiny Tykes Tennis Camp Gets Underway

July 9th 2007

With the threat of raining looming this morning the Tiny Tykes Tennis Camp started outside. High School Coach Wayne Martin said this is the largest Tiny Tykes camp in seven years.

The camp, which is run by Coach Martin and has councilors who are current and former Windham High School Varsity Tennis Players, introduces students entering K-4th grades to the game of tennis.

The staff has lined up a fun filled week with a different theme for each day of camp.

TUESDAY: Red, White & Blue Day. Campers are encouraged to dress in anything red, white and blue. Feel free to get creative.

WEDNESDAY: Wacky Wednesday. One of the kids favorites!

THURSDAY: Hat Day. Wear any old hat or dress one up.

FRIDAY: T-Shirt Day. Wear your camp t-shirt for a group picture

The kids will hit for prizes on Tuesday through Friday. The camp staff lays prizes out on one half of the court and the kids take turns trying to hit a prize from the other side of the net.
