New 3v3 Instructional Basketball League

Over the weekend The Basketball Academy announced a new basketball league. The new league is a 3v3 instructional league that is intended to make players think about a different aspect of the game each week. Players will have to follow a different specific rule each week that will, over the course of the season promote the young players thinking about all aspects of the game. The playoffs will be free of the special rules where the players will hopefully implement them on their own.

Each team will play 2 games a week for 7 weeks beginning on January 17 or January 24, 2009. There will also be playoffs.

There are four leagues:

Boys 5th & 6th

Boys 7th & 8th

Girls 5th & 6th

Girls 7th & 8th

The program will be broken down into four separate leagues:

Boys - 5th & 6th

Boys - 7th & 8th

Girls - 5th & 6th

Girls - 7th & 8th

Requirements:

1. Each player will be required to fill out the Basketball Academy registration form located at www.thebasketballacademy.biz

2. Email us at thebasketballacademy @ maine.rr.com your team name, with the name of your players on your team and which league you are entering.

3. The league will be limited to only 8 teams per league. Team entry will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. Some leagues are filling up quickly!

Please call 772-6644 if you have any questions.
