for Athlete of the Week.
The athlete of
the week will:
1. Have an
article including pictures on
www.windhamsportspages.com
2. Have a
picture and short description on a plaque at
Frinedly's in North Windham for a week.
3. Receive a
T-Shirt identifying them as an Athlete of
the week.
4. Receive a
$10 gift certificate to Friendly's in North
Windham.

MIDDLE SCHOOL & HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY
The middle
school starts its season on November 18 at
USM against Massabesic, and the High School
JV have a scrimmage against St. Doms at
Bridgton on November 14.

TRAVEL
BASKETBALL
Windham's 5th
grade boys travel team recorded a 42-22
victory over Westbrook as travel basketball
kicked off over Veteran's Day weekend.

We hope more
parents and coaches will send us information
about their children's travel and rec teams.
Hopefully over the course of the season
every youth player in Windham will have the
chance to see their name and picture on
Windham Sports Pages.
MIDDLE SCHOOL BASKETBALL
The boys
rosters will be posted on the site this
week. We are looking for parents to send us
parents and notes about the games.
MIDDLE SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY:
We are posting
a story about the Middle School Cross
Country teams this week and it will also run
in the Windham Independent so make sure you
pick up a copy for your scrap books.

INDOOR SOCCER
Windham boys
and girls in grades 1 - 3 are invited to
participate in a 20 week indoor soccer
season with three licensed coaches from
Windham.
WHERE:
Portland Sports Complex
WHEN:
Wednesdays Starting November 28, 2007
TIME:
4PM - 5PM
COST:
TBD (Goal to keep it under $100, will be
based on number of participants to cover the
rental of the field)
WHAT IS IT:
First 30 minutes each week will be fun
activities to improve soccer skills.
Second 30
minutes will be small sided games.
COACHES:
Mike Russell and Arne Defosse both hold a
class D Soccer License and Chris Spaulding
has a class E Soccer License.

any child who enjoys playing soccer.
SOFTBALL PITCHING CLINICS:
The FREE
softball pitching clinics are coming up
November 18th to December 23rd at Windham
High School. The clinics are open for any
girls in 8th grade or below. There is more
information on
Windham Sports Pages and the coach has
been posting updates about it in their own
thread in the forums.
VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH:
We will be
announcing our second "Volunteer of the
Month" award winner next week. The story
about September's winner, Bill Ciccarone
also ran in the Windham Independent and the
Lake Region Newspaper. Voting for November's
volunteer of the month is now open.
