WYSA OPENS FALL REC. SEASON
September 8,
2007
 |
It
may have felt like midsummer
outside today with hot
repressive heat that could have
given Windham residents one of
their last chances of the season
to enjoy the many lakes and
beaches in the area.
For hundreds of Windham families
today was the first day of the
Windham Youth Soccer
Association's Fall Recreation
season.

IS COMPETITION GOOD FOR OUR CHILDREN?
September
8, 2007
Many
things have changed about sports since we
were kids, some good, and some maybe not so
good.
One change
that seems to be taking root not only in
sports but also in our school systems is
taking the competition factor out of the
equation.

WMS FOOTBALL VS. NOBLE SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 9
Coach Todd Coons
The Windham Middle School will be playing a
tough Nobel Middle School football team this
Sunday at 1PM. The A game will be first,
followed immediately by the B game.
The games will be held at the Windham HS
Field Complex on field 9. Noble is 1-1 and
Windham is 2-0. Noble is led by their strong
quarterback who can air it out as well as
run up the middle. It will be a real test
for the Windham defense to contain Noble.
Windham will be ready and will have a few
surprises for Noble as well.
Please come and support a great Windham
team.
WMS FOOTBALL DOMINATES WELLS - RECAP
Windham Middle School Football
September 7, 2007 By David Field
The B squad
played well, including creating a Safety.
In the A Game,
the opening kickoff was returned 72 yeards
by Sean Ranmarine for a TD. The game, while
impressive was littered by stupid penalties
by the Eagles. Coach Coons, while exuberant,
was not impressed with the lack of
discipline.
"JUST FOR FUN"
September 4
2007 by Mike Russell

That's the name of this past
weekend's soccer festival in
Cumberland and that's exactly
what happens!
Many teams from all around were
part of this great weekend of
soccer.
The weather was great, the
fields were green and the kids
were having a blast.
