WINDHAM SPORTS PAGES July 14, 2008

Newsletter Volume 2 Issue 12 www.windhamsportspages.com

BASEBALL:

There has been a tremendous amount of baseball action over the past few weeks and most of it has been captured on Windham Sports Pages. The 9/10 year old Windham Little League All Stars made a run at the championship, the 11 year old Windham Little League All Stars also played in their tournament.

Windham's 13 year old Babe Ruth All Stars are currently 2-0 in the district 4 tournament being held in Portland. They play against Portland at 5:30PM Wednesday July 16 at Haverty Field in Portland. Come on out and support the team as they make a run for the title!

Hall Implement won the Windham Little League AAA Championship. All of this and more is on www.windhamsportspages.com

SUMMER SPORTS CAMPS:

Last week saw Baseball, Tennis and Lacrosse camps at the high school. There are pictures from all of the camps on Windham Sports Pages.

There is another Tiny Tykes tennis camp next week. Information is available on our camps page.

The British Challenger Soccer camp is also just a few weeks away, information is available on our camps page and at www.windhamyouthsoccer.com

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK:

We will be posting to more "Athletes of the Week" later this week. Be sure to check out two more of Windham's outstanding young athletes.

SUMMER PICK UP GAMES:

The first summer pickup game was held this past Sunday. A kickball game consisting of 11 boys and girls and 6 parents. Everyone had a great time and are looking forward to this week's wiffleball game. We have a skinny bat for the big kids, and a fat bat for the younger ones. The game will be on Sunday July 20 at 6:00PM on the softball field behind the Primary School. We will set up bases somewhere else in the general area if the field is being used so look around for us.

TRACK & FIELD:

Windham is hosting the track meet this week for the Youth Summer Track Program. Once again Windham has a very strong team. This is a good opportunity for anyone curious about the program to come out to the High School Track at 2:00PM on Thursday and see how much fun the athletes have competing in this program.

SEND US INFORMATION:

We rely on all of you for the content on the Windham Sports Pages. I appreciate all of the help gathering this information and will continue to give out a Windham Sports Pages t-shirt to everyone who sends me something to put on the site.
