The Junior Eagles started off winning the toss but that is as far as the winning went as Saco completed passes to defeat Windham 20-0.  Windham was forced to punt on its first possession.  Saco wasted no time and went to the air and scored.  The Eagle defense got together and stopped the two point conversion attempt. Saco-Windham made significant adjustments to defeat the Junior Trojans 27-12 in SMYFL action today.  Additionally, Windham sealed home field playoff advantage in the playoffs with its win today.  Both teams had done plenty of scouting of each other so nothing was a secret on the field. However, Windham’s powerful lines coupled with its ability to put together well blocking running attacks put the game in their favor. Read / Football Forums

STANDISH, ME – Kayla Nowell ‘11 (Bridgton, ME) scored her 15th goal of the year 39 seconds into the second overtime period to lead Saint Joseph's (9-3, 3-1 NAC) past Colby College (4-6, 1-4 NESCAC), 3-2, for the first time in program history on Thursday afternoon. Alyssa Dunn ‘11 (Standish, ME) scored the game-tying goal, her first of the season, with 4:54 left in regulation to send the match to extra frames.
