Windham. Several hundred were in attendance
to witness the games.

home against Bonny

The cross country
team seems to be having a lot of
luck with the weather this year.
At 9:00 Thursday morning there was
a thunderstorm! We thought the meet
would be postponed, but later on the
bad weather stopped and the sun came
out! More importantly, the meet went
on!

beautiful Sunday afternoon with a
clear sky and 77 degree temperature,
the Eagles of Windham played near
perfect football. On the drive down
to Kittery, most players and
families witnessed the arrival of
the Vietnam Memorial wall and its
escort of motorcyclists.

Bonny Eagle, September 19th

morning cold enough to snow, turned
out to be a scorching eighty degree
cross- country meet! Windham didn’t
let high temperatures stop them
though!

IS COMPETITION GOOD FOR OUR CHILDREN? PART

Last week we
started our series on children and competition
in school and sports. We referred to the trend
to taking competition out of school and sports
programs as "sissifying" our children. The term
was controversial, supported by many and angered
others.
