Windham’s B squad battled fiercely in their game against Scarborough to only come up short in a 20-30 game.  Reyanne Matthews led the junior squad with 128 yards rushing, three touchdowns and one point after.  She would post two over fifty yard touchdown sprints to put points on the board for her team.   Read

Last year’s B Squad remembered the defeat at Scarborough and avenged the loss by defeating Scarborough 27-0.  Windham started the victory by winning the opening toss and elected to receive the opening kick.  Read

BOSTON, MA - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference has recognized 450 student-athletes who have been named to the 2007-08 Academic All-Conference Team.

 

Thirty-nine Saint Joseph's College student-athletes have been honored by the conference for achieving academic excellence.

To enter the contest, mail in or submit online, an essay 1,000 words or less, on the topic: "The Most important Lesson I learned in School." Essays will be judged equally upon the following criteria: originality, creativity, eloquence of writing style, structure (how well thought out the Essay is) and relevance to the Topic. There will be one winner for each of the following grade level groups: Grades 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12. All entries must be received by September 15, 2008.

The Windham Seventh and Eighth Grade Football squads reported for preseason camp on Monday. Missing were the player negotiations and reinstatement squabbles plaguing some NFL squads. What we had were kids showing up wanting to play the game and some learning about their new coach. Read Story

Fairfield, ME- In a dynamic turn around, both in weather and scoring, the Southern Maine Flame Black softball team defeated the Messalonskee Magic 13 -1 to win the Patricia Manzo Diabetes Foundation Tournament.  The Magic forced a deciding game by defeating the Flame 9-1 in a rain-soaked, lightening delayed and sloppy event earlier in the day.
