Winning is becoming a tradition for the
Middle School Cross Country Teams
The Windham
Middle School girls cross country team is
quietly building a tradition of winning that
third year coach Paula Pock hopes is only
the beginning, and that it carries over to
the High School Varsity program.

COUNTRY TEAMS ACCOMPLISH MISSION

The Windham Middle School Girls
Cross Country teams both wrapped up their undefeated seasons
with team championships!
Some of the highlights from the
season include the 6th grade team's Sam Frost going undefeated
for the season! Winning one race is an accomplishment, winning
every race is an amazing achievement.
From individual greatness to team
greatness. The girls 7th and 8th grade team is undefeated over
the last three seasons! They have been dominating the
competition, recording perfect scores in five meets this season.

Windham’s Middle School Cross
Country team went to a meet at PATHS
(Portland Arts and Technology High School)
Wednesday, October 17. Windham won overall
with Talia McKay (Senior Girls) and Keegan
Brennan (Senior Boys) coming in first for
Windham! The times for all the runners will
be listed on the scoreboard as soon as we
receive it.

BAXTER
PARK CROSS COUNTRY MEET
On Friday, October 5th,
Baxter Park in Portland was a relief
for the cross country runners, as
the course was flat! There are no
hills compared to Windham’s course!

Samantha Frost set the girls Junior
division record in 10:02 and Hunter
Westman set the junior boys course
record in 10:11

2007 Cross Country Schedule Maine
Association of USA Track and Field
USATF has
announced its youth cross country schedule
for the fall. The program is open to
children up to the age of 18.

The cross country
team seems to be having a lot of
luck with the weather this year.
At 9:00 Thursday morning there was
a thunderstorm! We thought the meet
would be postponed, but later on the
bad weather stopped and the sun came
out! More importantly, the meet went
on!

out to be a scorching eighty degree
cross- country meet! Windham didn’t
let high temperatures stop them
though!
