	Windham Vs. Portland

	This will considered one of the hardest games of our season is what our coach first said in our pre-game talk. He also said that this is one of those games that we COULD win but we would have to fight every single minute for it, and that we did but we came out with a 2-2 tie which was a very good result for us. We started the game very strong we possessed the ball well we defended Fazal (there "ringer") and the rest of their team well. We held them to having only 2 shots in the first half to our 7. Although we did not score, Bryan Soucy hit the cross bar 2 times and the goalie saved on of his shots, and he hit the post once, Brandon Hodge hit the post once, Mitch Hodge got a shot off but the goalie saved it , and Brandon Shaw had a header but it went right at the goalie. Now that may sound like the goalie was an amazing player, but we just got very unlucky with our shots and they all either hit the post or went right where the keeper was standing. At half time our coach was very pleased but new we couldn't back down one bit, in fact we had to step it up ANOTHER notch he said. He said he was very proud of us but we need to put our chances away and we needed to say strong. We tried our best in the second half. Portland came out and scored the first goal against us, but that didn't stop us at all, we turned right around changed our formation and scored with in 5 minutes of the scoring, now the came was tied at 1 a pice. We tried and tried to sore but we just couldn't find the back of the net, portland got a run down the side line put in a very good cross, and due to lack of communication there was a man wide open and he scored a very easy header, now the game was 2-1 portland. Although we were all pretty angry we did not hang our heads. We took that anger and fought and fought until we finally scored our second goal with 7:25 to go. We knew that we had to hold them to this tie and take them into over time. We managed to reach our goal of holding them to a tie until we got into over time. We play 2, 5 minute sudden death half's. We almost scored in the first half of overtime but Brandon Hodge put a header right over the cross bar. And that was about our only chance in the over time we had some other but they weren't as close as Brandon's was. And portland only had 1 chance in over time but I slid and blocked the shot out for a corner, which we cleared very easily. Then our game ended in a tie. Our coach couldn't tell us enough how proud he was of how hard we worked and how well we play, and he said if we bring that intensity to every game we will not lose many games, which is what we all are looking for. I must say that this was the first game that we really played as a team for the whole game and worked hard as a team the whole game. Overall it was a very good match and well played and a very exciting one to watch. Although I failed to mention this early Robby Lentine and Bryan Soucy scored our 2 goals for this game.


	Windham Vs. Deering

	We played Deering High as our second game of the season. This game went better than our last game in some areas but it also didn't go so well in other areas. We could not finish in this game at all. We had our opportunities but couldn't finish them. Our passing went well and got better as the game went on but we still really need to work on that. Another thing that we need to work on is our game awareness. And by that I mean what to do with the ball when we are up by a goal and there isn't much time left, what to do when we are down a goal, and when to push up or stay back and defend. There are many other thing that fall under " game awareness" but those are the few things I think we could stand to work on. Although there are still things we need to work on, we did do some things well, we defended well and we communicated well and our passing got better and better as the game went on. We ended up winning the game 1-0 off one of my free kicks that went to Robby Lentine, and he hit it back across the middle of the goal and Brandon Shaw finally put it away.


	Windham 4 Bonny Eagle 3

	Our game vs. Bonny eagle went alright considering it was our season opener. We still have a lot of kinks that we need to work out but they will all start to unfold as the season goes on. Although I thought we were going to have a hard time scoring this year, we managed to put 4 goals away which was a surprise to me and the rest of our team. One of our biggest problems right now is that we haven’t played together for very long so we are having some troubles knowing where each other are. We are having some troubles connecting passes and being able to work as a team. What I also saw during this game was some moments of brilliance especially near the end of the game, our passes were looking better just from when the game started and I (Dana King) had a very good looking assist to Robby Lentine who jumped up over every one and had a wonderful header that went far post upper 90, It was a very good shot from Robby. So although there were some bad things in this game there were also some very good things, like the assist I had to Robby off the free kick, also how we scored 4 goals when no one on our team was expecting to score a lot, and our communication got better as the game went on. There are some things we need to work on but I have no doubt in my mind that we will get these things figured out and be a lot better team as the season goes on.
