Please nominate ANY STUDENT ATHLETE you would like to see recognized by this award. We are counting on the community to make us aware of Student Athletes and their hard work and accomplishments.

The Windham Sports Pages & Friendly's Restaurant Athlete of the week recognizes a Windham athlete's hard work and accomplishments.

We are accepting nominations for our Athlete of the Week Award. Please read the following guidelines and submit a nomination for any athlete you would like to see recognized by Windham Sports Pages and Friendly's Restaurant.

1. The athlete must be a Windham resident.

2. The athlete may be a participant in any Windham Youth Sports program from pee wee divisions all the way up through high school.

3. This is the most important guideline: Any athlete can be nominated and chosen as winner based on their hard work and dedication to their team or sport. While the obvious selections may be the player that leads their team in scoring, assists, rebounds, strikeouts etc...this award is not just for the players who post exceptional stats. Some team members may contribute greatly to the success of a team in a number of ways, whether they are a leader in the locker room, or the unsung hero on the offensive line, or maybe there is a player who always goes 100% in practices and games helping their teammates succeed in  immeasurable ways.

Our goal is to recognize those who work hard!

4. Nominations may be made by anyone including coaches, parents, teammates, students or fans in general. We encourage everyone to nominate their favorite Windham student athlete for this award.

5. Nominations are due by midnight each Saturday. We will choose a winner by Monday.

6. All nominations are voted on by a panel of seven people that are involved in many different sports and age groups. Any nominee not chosen will be included in the voting for at least four weeks so that they have many opportunities to be chosen. If an athlete is not chosen and you feel they are deserving or they have done something else you think is important for the voters to know about please fill out the form below again.

We thank everyone who has volunteered to help us with the award. We know it isn't easy to select one winner from all of the superb Student Athletes Windham has to offer.

Please fill out this form to nominate an athlete for "Athlete of the Week" We ask you to provide your contact information in case we have questions about your nominee. We will not share it with anyone else.
