Eighth
Grader Jenny Burns has had a great start
to the field hockey season. She scored
her first career goal against
Westbrook in the second game of the
season.
She
followed that up with two stellar
performances in goal; against
Gorham and
Bonny Eagle.

WSP: Where do you see yourself in five
years?
Jenny:
I see myself in college studying to
become a teacher at University of Maine
at Farmington
WSP: Who is your role model in sports?
Jenny:
My role model in sports is my brother
Josh. I look up to him because he
encourages me to try my best and also he
plays varsity soccer.
WSP: Who is your role model in life?
Jenny:
My mom is my role model in life because
she is always cheering me on and she
comes to all my games.
WSP:
How do you prepare for sports?
Jenny:
I prepare by practicing before the game
and I stretch.
WSP:
Favorite sports memory?
Jenny:
My favorite memory in sports is when I
scored my first goal in field hockey
against Westbrook and I won three
softball championships in three years.
