Katie Herzig is just 10 years old, and is already compiling an impressive list of accomplishments.

On August 9, she capped off a great summer of track by winning the Bantam Girls Shot Put State Championship at the Summer Youth State Track Meet in Augusta.

Katie also won the silver medal (2nd place) in the Long Jump and took home a 6th place ribbon in the high jump at the State Track Meet.

Katie is not only a champ on the court and track, she is also a champ in the classroom as a high honors student at Windham Middle School.

Katie had company on the ride to the State Track Meet.
