Talia
McKay is the complete "Student Athlete".
She not only competes at the highest
level in athletics, she also excels in
the classroom.
She won
numerous academic awards at the 2008 8th
grade assembly to add to the impressive
collection of accomplishments in
athletics.

Coach Doug Green said, "The term "great"
is thrown around rather easily nowadays,
but great applies to Talia."

WSP: Where do you see yourself in five
years?
Talia:
In college, with a scientific major and
preparing for a small bakery business on
the side (I still want to play sports)
WSP: Who is your role model in sports?
Talia:
None
WSP: Who is your role model in life?
Talia:
Parents, sister, coaches and teachers
who encourage and push me to do my best
and who support me.
WSP:
How do you prepare for sports?
Talia:
Practice all the time, before a game or
competition I warm up, stretch for a
while, prepare myself mentally, calm my
nerves by listening to music.
WSP:
Favorite sports memory?
Talia:
In 2007 USATF Maine State Championship
when I got a PR in 1500 and placed 6th,
got a PR in 3000M and placed 3rd, and my
relay team placed 2nd. Also this past
fall when i won my first cross-country
meet.
