Guerrette hit the game winning
shot at the buzzer in overtime
to beat Gorham in the season
opener. |
ORDER COMMEMORATIVE PLAQUE
Travis
Guerrette is the leader of the 2007 -
2008 Windham Boys Varsity Basketball
team. The senior point guard runs the
offense and sets the tempos of the
offense.
Coach
Kevin Millington said, "Travis is a
leader, he makes us go."
His
leadership has been on display in the
first three games of the season.
In the
first game against Gorham, he hit the
game winning shot at the buzzer in
overtime.
Leading by
one point against Kennebunk with two
seconds left in regulation, he
intercepted a pass at mid-court to
preserve the win.
With the
Eagles trailing against Deering, he lead
by example, staying aggressive on
defense and attacking the hoop until the
final buzzer.
When asked
to say something about Travis,
Millington quickly replied, "character"
