Knights of Columbus Hold District Free Throw Contest at Windham High School
Youth Basketball

Windham, ME: The annual district Knights of Columbus free throw competition was held in the Windham High School auxilary gym while the High School State Wrestling Meet was taking place in the main gym.

The winners from each town in the district gathered to compete against each other to earn a trip to compete in the state free throw competition in Old Town.

The participants in the town competitions took 15 shots. The person with the most made shots adavnced to the district competition. In the event of a tie after the 15 shots, they take 5 more shots until a winner is determined. Each participant takes 25 shots in the district and state competition. The players who make it to the state championship are there because of a lot of hard work and time spent in a gym, often times when their friends are home playing.
