| WYBA Girls Season Opener WYBA 4th-6th Grade Girls Basketball December 17, 2011 By Chris Spaulding  Raymond saw their chance at their first win of the season disappear at the buzzer. Chris Spaulding photo Windham, ME: Windham Youth Basketball 4th-6th grade girls basketball league opened the day with one of the most exciting girls game of the season. The first game of the day saw Walmart and Raymond exchange leads several times late in the game. Raymond scored with seconds remaining in the game to take the lead in what could have been their first win of the season. Walmart inbounded the ball and Erin Elder quickly dribbled the ball up the court and pulled up for a jumper from the Walrmat foul line. Elder got the ball up for the attempt before time ran out. The buzzer sounded sounded while the ball was in the air, and the ball swished through the net giving Walmart the exciting buzzer beater win.  Raymond saw their chance at their first win of the season disappear at the buzzer. Chris Spaulding photo This was Walmart's week to play a double header and found themselves up against the undefeated Pat's Pizza team that has been dominant in all of their games so far this season. Pat's Pizza once again proved too much for their opponent and defeated Walmart 28-21 to remain undefeated.  Pat's Pizza remained unbeaten with their 28-21 over Walmart. Chris Spaulding photo The final girls game of the day saw the other undefeated team, AAA Chem-Dry hold off Bob the Screenprinter 14-8 for another win. Bob the Screenprinter, looking for their first win of the season, challenged AAA Chem-Dry until the final moments.  Raymond saw their chance at their first win of the season disappear at the buzzer.
