Windham, ME: Windham Youth Basketball (WYBA) held their Senior League Rec Championships at the Windham High School (WHS) Gym on Saturday March 12, 2011. Buck's Naked BBQ rallied from a 10 point deficit to capture the Boys Championship to cap off an undefeated season.
The last time the Raymond Blue team and Buck's Naked BBQ met was week three of the season on December 18, 2010. Both teams came into the matchup at 2-0 and after an exciting contest Buck's walked away with a 26-24 victory. Neither team would lose again until they matched up in the Boys Senior League Championship game.
WYBA Senior League Runner Up: Raymond Rec Blue Team
Raymond came out firing on Saturday and it seemed like everything they put up was falling through the hoop. Raymond scored first before Cameron Brown evened it at 2-2. Raymond went on a 7-0 run. Buck's wouldnt get close again until the fourth quarter. Brown hit another bucket and Logan Emerson hit a free throw as Raymond took the first quarter 11-5. It was the only quarter Raymond would win.

Raymond's Jack Bisson put Raymond ahead 15-5 in the second quarter but Brown and Brandon Smith answered both of Raymond's second quarter baskets to pull within 15-9 at halftime.

Raymond extended their lead to 19-9 on baskets by David Young and Orion Beers before Shane Donnelly answered with a bucket. Marcus Pongratz responded with a basket to make it 21-11 before Buck's came storming back with a game changing 11-0 run. Smith started the run with a basket, Colby Valliere foolowed with a basket. Brown hit a running baseline floater to continue the run. C Valliere hit another basket as the thrid quarter buzzer sounded to pull Buck's to within three points, 21-18 at the end of three quarters.

Buck's picked up where they left on in the third quarter and took their first lead of the game when Shane Donnelly hit a basket to put them up 22-21 with 7:46 left in the fourth quarter. Pongratz answered putting Raymond up 23-22 and snapping Buck's 11-0 run. Shane Donnelly responded with another lead changing basket giving Buck's the lead for good. Buck's extended the lead to 26-23 before Pongratz added another two points to make it a one point game. There was plenty of excitment and anxiety during the last minute of play but no points as Buck's Naked BBQ held on for the championship and a perfect 13-0 season.

Buck's head coach Adam Beal said after the game, "Raymond is a great team. I would love to play them every week. The first game was decided by two points and the second one by one point and thats exciting basketball."
