Wings Skate Their Way to Another Win

Bridgton, ME: Western Maine Wings at Lake Region (Bridgton Academy Ice Arena) 01/03/2011

1st Period:
First goal of the night comes in just 9 minutes into the game by Lake Region's #7 Harden, assisted by Donatto followed up with 46 seconds left in the first period by Lake Region #20 Goff assisted by #7

2nd Period:
A fast paced start to the second period and it takes 10 minutes into the period for a score by Wings #8 Danny Stewart assisted by #3 Tony Terrano - this one puts the Wings on the board - but they weren't satisfied with just one - just 30 seconds later they add another by #2 Levi Marden assisted by #29 Zack Plyer The period remained fast paced and with just four minutes left on a hustle to the puck Wings #8 Danny Stewart was tripped and slammed feet first into the boards he suffered a ankle injury and had to be carried off the ice - Wings stayed strong and ended the perior tied up at 2-2

3rd Period:
Wings seemed a bit renewed from the break and put one on the boards 8 minutes into the 3rd period by #34 Owen Phillips. They kept Lake Region at bay and #34 Owen Phillips put another on the board with only 4 minutes left of the game. With 1:30 left on the clock Lake Region pulls the goalie and attempts a 6 on 5 assult on the Wings - but Wings pulled out all the defensive stops to bring home their second win of the season
