Deering
struck hard and fast in the first inning
scoring four runs. The first two
batters were walked and the third was
hit by pitch to reach base. The fourth
Deering batter was put out, but recorded
an RBI. The fifth Deering batter
reached base on failed fielder’s
choice. Starting pitcher Nick Sundquist
finally found his groove and retired two
batters on strike outs to end the Ram
attack.

Kelnhofer was gunned down at the plate
on a force play. Colby Waterhouse was
the lone run scorer in the inning for
the Eagles reaching base on a single.
Deering countered the Eagle attack in
the fourth by scoring three runs of
their own. The top of the Ram order
capitalized on the Eagle defensive
errors and made the Eagles pay.
Windham
continued to battle and in the top of
the seventh, managed to score a run by
Cole Moran who led the inning off with a
single.
