2010

Winners of
each age bracket were awarded a new
basketball with the words "Knights of
Columbus Free Throw Championship" on it.
Windham ME:
The Knights of Columbus held their annual
Windham free throw championship at the
Windham High School gym today. Despite a
light turnout, a champion was crowned in
every age bracket.
Each player
was given three warm up shots before taking
ten shots that counted. The 10 and 11 year
olds shot from a line 2 feet closer than the
regulation foul line. The 13 and 14 year
olds shot from the regulation foul line.
A five shot
playoff round was added if there was a tie
after a round. The winner of each bracket
was given a basketball and will compete in
the regional competition on a date and
location that has not yet been determined.
The state championship will be held in Old
Town.
