MS Football Loses first Game in Overtime to Biddeford 12-6

Biddeford, ME: Two undefeated squads faced off and Biddeford emerged the victor in a 12-6 victory over the Windham Eagles on Saturday afternoon.

Both teams battled defensively and offensively for three quarters. When needed, Windham defensively rose to the occasion and stopped Biddeford on fourth down and goal. In the fourth, each team had two possessions. Windham’s second possession was converted into a two yard touchdown run by Eric Webb. The touchdown was set up by Dylan Koza who had run 50 yards the play before to set the Eagles up for the touchdown. With 1:28 to go in the game, The Eagles kick off to the Tigers. Biddeford started their possession at their own 45 yard line. 41 seconds later, Biddeford answered with their own touchdown. Windham stopped the two-point conversion and the game was tied at six.

In overtime, Biddeford had the first possession. In two plays, the Tigers converted. Windham stopped the two point conversion again. Windham took possession at the ten yard line for their overtime attempt. On the third play, quarterback Aaron Grant was looking for a receiver on the far side and let the ball go. A Biddeford defender stepped up and intercepted the pass to end the game.
