Windham-Windham’s
Jr. Legion baseball team had its undefeated
streak end at six as they fell to the Lewiston
Post 2-0.
Cody Dube pitched
a spectacular game striking out ten batters,
walking one and hitting one batter. He allowed
seven hits but still held Lewiston to only two
runs.

Windham’s offense
was stifled by the Lewiston defense. The
Windham squad only struck out five times. The
closest Windham came to scoring was in the
fourth inning when Robbie Hamilton reached third
base. As with the other four runners in the
game, he was stranded.
In the top of the
seventh, Lewiston attempted to get insurance on
top of the two runs they generated in the fourth
inning. Batters Berube, Bernier and Beaudoin
each bunted safely to load the bases. Windham
tried to defend but to no avail. Cody Dube
reached deep and struck out the fourth batter.
Right Fielder Riley Williamson caught a fly ball
to record the second out and held the runners
on. Dube then threw four pitches and recorded a
strikeout to end the threat.

Windham.
