Boys Tennis Team is at it Again

Windham continues
dominance in SMAA Doubles. For the fourth
straight year, the Windham Boys Doubles teams
have conquered the court as doubles champions.
On Saturday, May
22nd the team of Nick Rallis and Kurt Stultz
completed their 3-peat by defeating Marshwood’s
#1 team of Hickey/Towle in straight sets 6-3,
6-2. In order to clinch the championship, Nick
and Kurt had to play five matches in one day.
Windham’s #2 and
#3 teams had a great showing as well with the
team of Andy Brix and Dan McGovern making it the
quarterfinals before falling to Cheverus’ #1
team of Coates and Chiancette 6-1, 2-6, 6-10
(tiebreaker).
Logan Cummings and
Shawn Pennels fell in the first round to the #5
seed from Thornton Academy 7-9. Thornton
Academy eventually made it to the semi finals
losing to Stultz and Rallis 6-2, 6-2.
WINDHAM SINGLES TOURNAMENT THIS WEEKEND @ BATES
COLLEGE
This weekend Nate
Johnson, Dan Crocker, and Ryan Johnson will
represent Windham at the state singles
tournament at Bates College. This is the 3rd
straight year Windham has qualified singles
players into the state tournament. Nate Johnson
received the 9th seed and Dan Crocker the 10th
seed.
The first round
begins this Friday with the following match ups:
