Scarborough
ME: Windham got right back to business a day
after losing to Westbrook by beating
Scarborough 44-38 on Saturday night.

The Eagles

Scarborough
opened up an 8-2 lead to start the game.
Windham answered with an 8-2 run of their
own, led by Garrett Clemmer with four
points, Nick Taylor with two points and
Nolan Allen with two of his four first
quarter points. Scarborough added a free
throw to lead 11-10 at the end of one
quarter.

opened the second quarter scoring with a
free throw. Clemmer followed a Scarborough
basket with four consecutive points before
Scarborough's Zach Bean hit his second
basket of the quarter. Windham went on a 6-0
run on baskets by Clemmer, Allen and Jackson
Taylor. Scarborough answered with a
three-pointer by Brendan Sullivan and a dunk
on a breakaway by Conor Sullivan. Allen
extended Windham's halftime lead to 23-20
with another basket.

Scarborough
opened the second half on a 4-0 run on
scores by Zach Bean and Kevin Phillbrick.
Windham responded with a 11-0 run to close
out the third quarter and give the Eagles a
commanding 34-25 lead. Allen led the way
during the 11 point explosion, draining two
three-pointers and a two-pointer. Clemmer
added three points on a free throw and a
basket, and Stephen Lambert drove to the
hoop for the final points of the quarter.

throws in the closing minutes of the game.
Scarborough
opened the fourth quarter with a 5-0 run
before Clemmer and Lambert each added a free
throw. Conor Sullivan pulled the Red Storm
to within two points 36-34 on four
consecutive points. Windham's final eight
points came at the foul line. Szklany sank
three shots, Jackson Taylor made two shots,
Clemmer drained two shots and Allen closed
out the scoring with two shots to give
Windham the 44-38 victory.

Windham plays
at Deering at 7:00PM on Tuesday January 26
and at Thornton Acdemy at 5:30PM on
Thursday. Coach Millington said, "This is
revenge week for us." referring to the two
losses the Eagles suffered to these teams
last year.
