Just like
on Saturday, the Windham starters took a
seat quickly in the game as the bench
came on to get some good quality playing
time. Windham quickly out ran, out
shot, out-defended and out-rebounded the
Rams to create a 11 point lead in the
first quarter.

Although it appears that Connor Flynn
has the upper hand in the tip off,
Gorham got control to start the game.

The second
quarter was more Eagles as the
frustrated Rams got into foul trouble
and sent Windham players to the free
throw line. Windham’s defense was also
key in keeping the Rams from scoring.
Windham forced many turnovers and
capitalized on several opportunities
that they created. The Eagles added
ten points to their lead to end the
half.
With the
two teams sharing one locker room, the
Eagles took their half-time on the
court. After a brief meeting, Windham
took to the court for some shooting. In
the third, it was more Windham and a
little more Gorham. Windham continued
on their defense and made the Rams work
to get their baskets. Sometimes it
would take Gorham more than a minute to
get the ball into the net.

The fourth
quarter saw Windham maintain its play
and outscore the Rams. After the game,
Windham Coach Brody Artes said “Our
defense has improved so much in the last
few games. That has been the
difference.”
