Buxton:
Windham avenged their prior year loss to
the Scots in defeating them 57-49.
Windham
dominated the first quarter and
out-scored the Scots by a factor of 2
times. The Eagles found themselves in
Bonus as the Scots found themselves in
foul trouble early in the game. Despite
the sloppy play, the Scots managed to
keep the Eagles somewhat in check in the
second quarter. The Scots had incurred
ten team fouls versus 4 for Windham. As
the half-time buzzer sounded, the Scots
were down by nine points.

It seemed
that turnabout was fair play in the
second half as the Eagles had the
whistle being blown against them.
Calvin Field took a quick seat as he
incurred three fouls. Bonny Eagle
seemed to take control as the whistles
continued to mount against Windham. The
Scots utilized full court press and
capitalized on several turn-overs. They
also managed to gain a bucket against
the Eagles as the third quarter ended.
In the
fourth, both teams went hard against
each other. The whistles started
sounding against the Scots and it didn’t
take long for both teams to be in Bonus
shooting territory. Windham’s Calvin
Field fouled out of the game with four
minutes left in the game. The last two
minutes was a free throw shooting
contest for both teams and neither team
could manage to keep their hands or
bodies clear of each other. Windham
managed to out-score Bonny Eagle by a
point to keep the game out of reach.
