Windham
ME: Windham shines in 60-17 defeat of
Fryeburg Academy.
It was
clear that some of the Raiders players
didn’t make the trip to Windham. The
eight players that did, struggled
against the Eagles. Windham was
aggressive in the first quarter. They
ran, they shot, they passed and scored
23 points. Additionally, they played
tough defense and only allowed Fryeburg
three points. It didn’t take long for
the JV swing players to take a seat and
others on Windham’s bench to hit the
floor and work on their game.

The second
quarter brought more of the same.
However, the scoring was not as lopsided
as in the first quarter. Windham’s
bench saw plenty of action as the
starters were spectators. Windham went
into the half with a 35-6 lead.

In the
second half, the Eagles allowed the
Raiders 11 points. However, Windham
generated 25 to outscore their
opponents. Windham had ten of twelve
players put points on the board. Jake
Perry came off the bench to lead the
Eagles with ten points. Joe Francoeur
had nine, Shawn Francoeur had eight and
Jordin Allen, Brad Carpentier and Calvin
Field each had six points.
Catch the
Eagles on Thursday at 4pm as they face
Cape Elizabeth.
