WHY: The Maine Red Claws and Town of Windham will jointly announce that they have joined a campaign launched by high school students Matt Desmond and Matt Dyer to renovate outdoor basketball courts located at 709 Roosevelt Trail in Windham.

Long slated by the Town of Windham for renovations, but without funding, the courts have fallen into serious disrepair and are currently unusable. The proposed courts will be open for public use, free of charge; there are currently no outdoor courts in Windham for public recreational use. High school students Matt Desmond and Matt Dyer launched the efforts to renovate the courts through a school project at Windham High School, spearheading the campaign to provide safe recreational courts for the large basketball community in Windham.
