WINDHAM ME: The Maine
Recreation & Park Association (MRPA) came to the
Windham High School gym on Wednesday evening for the
first round of the Hot Shot Competition.
Each participant does
three 1-minute round of shooting. They are allowed
to shoot from any of the five spots marked on the
floor, each spot has a different point total
assigned to it. There are also bonuses awarded to
players who attempt shots from all five spots.
Players may also make
layups but only two from each round count towards
their score.
The winners in each
age group will compete for a chance to go to the
state finals. The South Western Regional competition
will be held at 10AM at South Portland High School
on February 21, 2009.
