Windham defeats Freeport 35-21 for first win
of season

Freeport ME: The
Windham fifth grade boys travel basketball team
notched their first win of the season with a 35-21
victory over Freeport.
Windham jumped out to
an early 6-0 lead and never looked back taking a
20-13 lead into halftime. The victory was a team
effort with every player recording either points or
rebounds.
Tommy Leavitt led
Windham with 10 points and tied Cameron Hoffsess
with a team high 11 rebounds each. Hoffsess added
six points, Chris Brown had five points, and Austin
McGowan, Mitchell Delcourt and Ezra Boynton had four
points each. Jacob Frost rounded out the scoring
with two points.
Brown and Ethan
Spaulding collected six rebounds each. Boynton,
McGowan and Charlie Alpern all ended with three
rebounds each. Delcourt and Zach Petcher each had
two rebounds while James Mannette added one of his
own.
Windham will host
Falmouth1 at the Windham Middle School at 11am on
Sunday December 6, 2009.
