Cape holds off Windham for 33-23 victory

Cape Elizabeth ME:
While most of the town of Windham was at Fitzpatrick
Stadium in Portland watching Windham High School's
football team winning a state championship, 11
Windham fifth grade boys were playing basketball at
the Cape Elizabeth Middle School.
Cape Elizabeth took a
17-12 lead into halftime. Windham battled back to
bring the score close at 23-22 late in the second
half before Cape pulled away for the final 33-23
score.

Austin McGowan and
Mitchell Delcourt led Windham scorers with eight
points each. Ben MacDonald had eight rebounds,
Cameron Hoffsses had 7 rebounds and James Mannette
collected three rebounds. Chris Brown had two
blocks.
Windham plays Freeport
at 1:40PM at Freeport Middle School on Sunday
