The score
should not be an indication of how the
Eagles played the Lyman Moore Falcons.
Despite the 44-30 loss, the Eagles
learned that they have to play 4
complete quarters to be successful.

The first
quarter was a defensive battle. Both
teams ran the court and took a fair
amount of shots. In the second quarter,
Lyman Moore was quicker to the ball,
forced turnovers and capitalized on
them. The Falcons went to the locker
room at half time up 22-9. Coach
Fullerton took his time entering the
locker room and then did his best to
inspire his players.

In the
third quarter, the Eagles took the court
and took it to the Falcons. The game
was physical and both teams starting
racking up the fouls. Windham’s defense
started playing tighter and forced their
own turnovers. They managed to out-score
the Falcons 11 to 6 in the third.
The fourth
quarter the Eagles seemed to lose their
claws. The Falcons came out with their
aggressive 2-1-2 trap defense and forced
bad passes which resulted in turnovers.
Added to that, they hit several
three-pointers to put distance in the
score.
Catch the
Eagles on Wednesday at Windham Middle
School as the host the Wescott Falcons
from Westbrook.
