The season officially
began when
Downeast Energy and
Hall Implement faced of at 9:00 AM at Lowell
Farm Field. The first game of the new season brought
many other firsts for a lot of the young players.
Some of those firsts
include; the first time playing under unrestricted
baseball rules, the first time with real umpires and
playing at Lowell Farm Field. The latter is an
experience that make the players feel like Little
Big Leaguers, thanks to volunteer
Bill Ciccarone.

sure Windham Little Leaguers have a an exciting
experience at Lowell Farm Field. Karen Leavitt Photo
Bill Ciccarone spends countless hours every year
maintaining Lowell Farm Field. The last week was no
exception. He was out all week preparing the field,
including arriving at 6AM on opening day for some
finishing touches.
Mr. Ciccarone adds to
the experience during the games as well. He
introduced each player before the games and then
announcing them as they came up to bat.
