Happy New Year!   With the new year begins a new baseball/softball season, we are now open for registrations on-line, we are planning a skills and drills session over the February vacation in the early evenings and assessments will be the 2nd week of March.    More details will be posted on the web site as they become available  www.windhamlittleleague.com  

PLAYER REGISTRATIONS:
Player registration for Windham Little League Baseball/Softball 2009 season begins on 1/1/2009 go to  www.windhamlittleleague.com select  Registrations and Assessments for the link to On-line Registration Powered by Active.com

Walk up registrations for the Windham Little League Baseball/Softball 2009 season will be accepted on
Sunday January 18th from 2:00-4:00 pm at the High school during K-2 Basketball sessions
Saturday January 24th from 1:00-3:00 pm at the High school during K-2 Basketball sessions

Please bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate (if he/she is a new player to the league) and a check payable to “Windham Little League”.  A birth certificate will be required for first time registrants.  Proof of residency in the Town of Windham will also be required.  The 2009 season’s prices are $65.00 mail in or in person and $60.00 on-line.  You can save $5 now by going to www.windhamlittleleague.com and signing up through Active.com.    If you prefer not to use a credit card, you may print a registration form from the website and mail to the above address with a check for the balance. All boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 12 (Boys by April 30th 2009 and Girls by December 31st 2008) who wish to play in the Windham Little League Baseball/Softball program must register. Any registrations received for any league after March 8, 2008 will be assessed a $25.00 late fee.  

The deadline for registrations is midnight March 8, 2009.

SKILLS ASSESSMENTS:

Assessments will be held the week of March 12th to 18th.  

All returning players from 2008 and all 9-12 year olds who wish to be considered for the 9-10/11-12 year old leagues must sign up before assessments. All players ages 8-12 will be re-assessed and teams will be re-selected every year.  Any 9-11 year old who signs up after March 8, 2009 will be assigned to a minor league division.   Assessment dates will be available online at www.windhamlittleleague.com on March 10th.

OTHER ACTIVITIES:  

Lowell Farm improvement project in the works where we are proposing a new snack shack and a storage shed with easy access for coaches.  We have a good core team of volunteers to run the project but will need many hands and lots of donors to make this come to a reality.   Please let us know if you have an interest in volunteering or if you know of a good donor of any cooking or building supplies.
