Windham Little League Seeking Volunteers for
New Building
Little
League Baseball
December 2, 2009
UPDATE 12/10/09:The weather outside is frightful
and not good for building so we are going to delay
the building of the snack shack until April.
Thank you very much to Hammond Lumber for the slider
window and working on procuring special trusses and
doors as a donation. We really appreciate all the
donations and work involved from the entire
community.
Over the winter we will be working on getting more
supplies for the interior, thanks very much to Erlon
for getting us the grill and to L R Higgins for
allowing us to store it in Scarborough.
We will schedule another silent auction in March to
raise more money and to have a good excuse for a fun
night out. Thanks to everyone for all your support
this year. 2010 will be a great year at Lowell. Play
Ball!
UPDATE: Windham Little
League moved the date of the construction to
Saturday December 12, 2009. Anyone who
can help in anyway is encouraged to show up at
Lowell Field.
Windham Little League
(WLL) is building a new snack shack to replace the
snack trailer at Lowell Farm. The new snack shack
will provide more food options at Lowell and
includes a Handicap accessible rest room for Little
League players and families.
The money WLL raised
at the silent auction in March 2009 is being used to
fund any building supplies over and above what has
already been generously donated, including hours of
effort, supplies and equipment furnished by Bill
Ciccarone, MJ Laberge Plumbing, Warren Construction
Group, Ken Hough, Windham Rental, Home Construction,
Cole Leavitt, Jon Belanger, Ed Stewart, Mike Kilfoil,
Dave Brackett, Peter Gilman and many others are
lined up to donate more supplies to finish the
building but we can definitely use more donations
and more specifically more helping hands.
We are hoping to get
all the lumber and supplies delivered to Lowell on
Friday and actually put up the frame and roof on
Saturday December 5th! We need your help, bring your
hammer and gloves or food for the crew and join us
at Lowell Farm starting bright and early on Saturday
to put up the house!
