Falmouth-
Windham’s Junior Legion Team finally
took to the field Friday night after
several rain postponed games. A handful
of teams in their conference have played
up to six games already. Two had not.
Falmouth took advantage and scored a few
quick runs early on to set the pace for
the night. Windham pitcher Devin Lailer
could do little as the Falmouth bats
found contact and put the ball in play.
Windham committed five errors in the
game. Lailer would still have three
earned runs charged to him.

Windham
countered in the second inning when
Robbie Hamilton swatted a ball over the
left field fence to drive in Windham’s
only two runs. However, the Windham
offense was stifled by the Falmouth
pitching and the Junior Legion team
dropped to 0-1 on the new born season.
Freeport-Saturday morning, Windham faced
Freeport and dropped a close game 2-1 at
Freeport. Morgan Sawyer pitched for the
Windham Junior Legion squad.
Monday’s
Junior Legion game in Cumberland has
been postponed until July 10.
