Windham
ME: In keeping with the winning ways,
Windham defeated Westbrook 50-0.
Windham
lost the coin toss and ended up kicking
off to Westbrook. However, it didn’t
take but three plays for Matt McLean to
put a ball loosening hit on the
Westbrook quarterback and Windham’s Joe
Francoeur would pounce on the ball to
give Windham possession at the Blue
Blazes 44 yard line. The Eagles went to
the air and Jeremy Peavey caught the
ball to give Windham a quick first
down. Max McDonald then took a hand-off
to get another big gain. TD O’Brien
found Peavey again in the end zone to
quickly put Windham on the board.
Westbrook stopped the two point
conversion.

After the
Eagle kick off, Westbrook started at
their own 30. Windham’s defense forced
the Blue Blazes to punt. Windham took
possession at the 50. Colby Waterhouse
took the direct snap two times to get an
Eagle first down. TD O’Brien found
Christian Coons on a pass to get 13 more
yards. Max McDonald then rambled 16
yards to record his second touchdown.
O’Brien would find Drew Gagnon in the
end zone to record the two point
conversion.
Westbrook
started their third possession on their
own three yard line. In the second
quarter, Windham again forced them to
punt and took possession at their own 42
yard line. TD O’Brien hit Pat Pearson
for a 48 yard gain. Windham quickly
converted the touchdown. James Fisher
took the hand-off and muscled his way in
for the two extra points.

In the
next series, Windham’s defense was quick
to capitalize on a Westbrook offensive
mistake. Westbrook attempted a pitch
out, but the running back wasn’t looking
and the ball rolled out of control in
the Blue Blazes backfield. Windham
recovered on the 33 yard line.
Westbrook’s defense worked hard holding
the Eagles to fourth down and 10. TD
O’Brien found Drew Gagnon for a 31 yard
reception to give the Eagles first down
and goal. Eric Hook found the end zone
for the Eagles and Dylan Henry punched
in the two points to give Windham the
30-0 lead at the half.
The Eagles
took possession in the third and
continued their offensive dominance.
Max McDonald would ramble 27 yards to
put six more points on the board. On
the two point conversion, TD O’Brien
looked to pass, then tucked the ball and
found the end zone to add the two
points. The Blue Blazes started at
their own 19 and Windham’s defense again
forced them to punt on fourth and 16.
Damien Shepard took the punt 35 yards
and after a penalty the Eagles started
at the Westbrook eight yard line.
Calvin Field handed to Dylan Henry to
record another six points for the
Eagles. The two point conversion was
stopped by Westbrook.

Westbrook
came out and started showing Windham
that they could play football. They
quickly moved the ball into Eagle
territory and got to the 20 yard line to
end the third quarter. On fourth and
two yards, Windham’s Pat Pearson blew
into the backfield and tackled the
running back to give Windham the ball.
Westbrook forced Windham to punt and
took possession. Westbrook again moved
the ball against the Eagles. As time
was ticking down in the game, Westbrook
tried a long pass. Colby Waterhouse
intercepted the ball at the Eagle 15
yard line and scrambled the length of
the field to give Windham a touchdown as
time ran out.
