Marshwood
won the toss but deferred to Windham.
Damien Shepard took the opening kickoff
30 yards to put Windham in great field
position on the Marshwood 47. Max
MacDonald would put the Eagles on the
board with a six yard carry to the end
zone. TD O’Brien threw a pass to Drew
Gagnon to complete the two point
conversion.
On the
Marshwood possession, Windham would hold
the Hawks and force a punt. TD O’Brien
would block the punt and Dylan Taylor
would pick up the loose ball and ramble
it to the end zone to give Windham
another touchdown. Max MacDonald would
run the two point conversion to give the
Eagles the 16-0 lead. After the
kickoff, Brandon Pesce would recover the
Marshwood fumble. However, TD O’Brien,
under pressure would fumble the ball to
end the first quarter for the Eagles.

It didn’t
take long for O’Brien to redeem
himself. The Windham defense held and
took possession at their own 44 yard
line. O’ Brien found Jeremy Peavey two
times once for 13 yards and another for
50 yards to put Windham on the board.
Max McDonald took the handoff and
scored the two point conversion to make
the score 24-0.
Windham’s
defense again holds Marshwood. Windham
would start at Hawk 46 yard line. Max
McDonald would find the goal after
fumbling and recovering in the mud. TD
O’Brien would find Johnny Weymouth on a
pass play to record the two point
conversion to put the Eagles up 32-0.

In the
second half, Marshwood came out wanting
to make a statement. However, Windham’s
defense would answer the call.
Marshwood advanced the ball 50 yards and
Damien Shepard stopped the ball carrier
from getting to the end zone by pushing
an official out of the way so he could
make the tackle at the Windham 26 yard
line. The Eagles would scoop up a Hawk
fumble on their own 14 and move the ball
easily up the field. However, the
slippery pigskin got away and Marshwood
would take control on their own 20 after
the Eagle ball carrier coughed up the
ball.
Windham’s
defense was stellar and forced a punt.
Windham took to the ground, running play
after play on the ground. TD O’Brien
had a very nice 16 yard gain to set up
the Max McDonald nine yard touchdown.
Travis Fisher caught an O’Brien pass to
put two more points on the board for the
Eagles to put them up 40-0 .

Late in
the fourth quarter, Marshwood gets the
offense moving. Play after play, the
ball moves up the field and Marshwood is
gaining ground. With two seconds left
in game, the Hawks are on the Eagle five
yard line. They score and time runs
out.
