Windham- The Lady Eagles fell against the South Portland Red Riots 49-40.

 

In the first quarter, the Riots seemed to gain momentum and capitalized often to take a 17-9 lead.   In the second quarter, Windham’s offense gelled and quickly scored a few baskets and seemed within striking distance.  However, South Portland answered with a run of baskets and went into the half with an 18 point lead.

In the second half, Windham did out score the lady Riots, but it wouldn’t be enough.  Senior Kelsey McGowan led Windham with 16 point, followed by Sophomore Meghan Gribbin with 13.  Senior Amber Allen had six and Bebe Butts had one point.
