Westbrook-Windham First Team Boys Basketball defeats Westbrook 62-51. 

 

Windham took a very aggressive start in the game.  Joe Francoeur chipped in a bunch to lead the Eagles early.  Tom McGowan hit a long three pointer to end the first quarter and give the Eagles a ten point  lead.

In the second quarter, Westbrook brought out their defense and really boxed the Eagles out and controlled the game.  They took a 34-32 lead into half time.

 

In the third, the Eagles exploded, and took the lead.  They emerged as a different team than had played in the second quarter.  They stifled the Westbrook offense, took control and scored on almost every turnover the Blazes presented.

In the fourth, a battle ensued.  The Eagles, at first seemed to eager to push the ball up the court, instead of taking their time with the healthy lead.  After a few rounds, they settled down and worked the ball, effectively against the Blue Blazes.  At the end, Windham would end up outscoring Westbrook 16-13 in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
