GORHAM ME:
To start, Windham lost the toss, but
dominated the Rams in the game by
defeating them 41-0.
Gorham
took possession to start the game and
Windham’s defense swarmed them. Gorham
was forced to punt on fourth down.
Damien Shepard took the ball at the
Eagle 25 and sprinted 75 yards to put
Windham on the board. Shawn Francoeur
kicked the PAT to make the score 7-0.

On
Gorham’s next possession Colby
Waterhouse intercepted a pass at the 35
yard line and advanced the ball to the
Gorham 8 yard line. After a few plays
and a penalty, QB Waterhouse would take
the ball 13 yards to record the
touchdown. Waterhouse stepped in today
to fill the shoes of Calvin Field who is
out recovering from a concussion.
Francoeur would kick his second PAT to
put the Eagles up 14-0.
Gorham
takes possession in the second quarter
and again Windham’s defense forces
Gorham to punt. Damien Shepard again
was deep and ran 75 yard to record the
Eagle’s third touchdown. Shawn
Francoeur booted his third PAT to make
score 21-0.

Windham
opened the second half on rocky ground.
Windham took possession after the kick
off and fumbled on their own 22. The
defense took control and got possession
back on their own 13. Waterhouse found
Damien Shepard on a pass which he took
87 yards to record his third touchdown
of the day. The PAT kick was blocked.
After the
Windham kick off, the defense again held
the Rams in check forcing a punt. The
Eagles took control on the Gorham 45.
Christian Coons took two hand offs for
20 yards, gaining a first down. On the
next play, Dan Stewart broke through the
middle, destined for the end zone.
However, he got hit and fumbled on the 8
yard line. Gorham would take possession
and the Windham defense pushed them
deep, up to the goal line. On fourth
and 17, Gorham attempted to convert and
the Eagle defense held them.

The
Grizzly offense continued to struggle
against the very strong Eagle defense.
