Buxton ME: One
of Windham Youth Soccer's two U10 Boys
Travel Soccer teams (Tornadoes) traveled to
Buxton for a match-up with one of Bonny
Eagle's U10 teams.
Windham and
Bonny Eagle are both fielding two U10 Boys
teams this season. Windham's other U10 Boys
team (Maine-iacs) traveled to Buxton a few
weeks ago to face off against both of Bonny
Eagle's teams.
Today's game
was played in rain that forced cancellations
of most of the games scheduled this weekend.
The Tornadoes were happy to get this game
played. Especially since their Saturday game
against Scarborough and their second game
for today against Bonny Eagle's other U10
Boys team had both been cancelled.
The players on
both teams didn't let the rain, wet field
and soaked ball deter them. They came out
ready for battle, with both teams scoring
goals early on. All of the goals in this
game were scored in the first half.
The second
half was a defensive display with battles
being fought at both ends of the field.
The Windham
Tornadoes have a busy weekend ahead of them
with Saturday games against Westbrook and
Bonny Eagle in Westbrook and then Cape
Elizabeth comes to town on Sunday.
