The Windham Eagles prevailed over a tough Greely
team by the score of 40 – 33 in a well played game
at Gray-New Gloucester Middle School.
Windham came out strong in the first half behind the
tremendous play of Brandon Drouin. The entire
Windham team executed with great teamwork and
aggressive rebounding. The Greely team did not go
quietly however. Greely stormed back late in the
first half by closing the gap to a 2 point deficit.
In the second half, Windham stormed out and played
aggressive defense that was instrumental in building
a lead that they would never relinquish. Kyle
Kilfoil set the tone in the second half with key
rebounds and finished with a game high 8 points. The
entire Windham team played tremendously as a team
and had a very balanced attack throughout the entire
game.
After coming off of their best performance of the
year, Windham will try to bring the same intensity
against Freeport on Sunday.
