Cheverus Tops Windham

High School Boys Basketball - Varsity

WINDHAM ME: Cheverus (3-0) defeated Windham (1-2) 48-38 on Tuesday night.

Cheverus rode Mick DiSatsio's hot shooting to build a big lead in the first half taking a 26-14 lead into the half.

Windham's defense came up big in the second half. They held Cheverus to 7 points in the third quarter to cut Cheverus' lead down to 10 points.

Garret Clemmer led Windham scorers with 17 points and Brandon Guerette added 8 points including two three pointers.

Cheverus' Mick DiStasio led all scorers with 18 points.

Windham hosts Scarborough (3-1) at 7PM on Friday December 19, 2008. Scarborough's came from Deering who Windham took to overtime on Saturday.
