The 5th Grade Boys Travel Team beat Scarborough2 38-23 in front of a packed gym in the second round of the double elimination tournament.

 

This game was much closer than the first matchup between these teams which saw Windham top Scarborough2 43-16 when they met during the regular season in Windham.

 

This game was tight throughout the first half with Windham holding a 16-14 advantage with a minute left in the first half before going on a 5-0 run to end the half up 21-14.

 

Windham took control of the second half, outscoring Scarborough2 17-9 to lock up the victory and set up a rematch against Topsham who defeated Windham 57-42 in the championship game of the Scarborough Holiday tournament.

 

Kevin Weisser played tough inside while scoring 10 points. Nick Snow scored eight of his 10 points in the second half.

 

Windham will face Topsham on Saturday March 1st at 11:10AM at the Freeport Middle School.
