Scarborough 24-0 to avenge their first game defeat
to the Red Storm.

Like their senior players, Windham kicked off to the
Scarborough squad. The typical defensive play held
the Red Storm in check and Windham took over on the
44 yard line. Windham attempted to move the ball
and was foiled on fourth down after fumbling the
ball.

Windham’s defense again proved strong and forced
Scarborough to punt. Ryan Schweitzer took the ball
35 yards but only netted 25 after a holding penalty
was assessed. Dan Stewart got the call and rushed
two consecutive times for more than 20 yards. He
eventually would score the first touchdown of the
game on a three yard carry to put the Eagles on the
board. He also added the two point conversion.

Later in the second half, Stewart again got the call
and ran a 40 yard criss-cross run to score another
touchdown. Isaac Gurney took the ball in for the
two point conversion to put Windham up 16-0 for the
half.
Windham received the opening kick in the second
half.
Reyanne Matthews
(AOW)
got the call and ran the ball 46 yards to record an
Eagle touchdown. She also added the two point
conversion to put the Eagles up 24-0. The rest of
the game was a defensive battle with many players
for Windham getting their final playing time of the
season.

The
B Squad will not play in next week’s championship
game, but will be with their senior team mates to
cheer them on. The B squad finished the season 8-2
and Coach Coons expressed his appreciation and
congratulations to the team after the game.
