Wells ME: Windham’s B
squad recovered after last week’s defeat to
Scarborough to defeat Wells 20-0 in Saturday
play.
After Windham won the
toss, they were unable to convert the
possession to a touchdown and were forced to
punt. The teams continued to battle in the
first half and produced no score. Various
attempts to move the
ball into the end zone
were tried by both teams to no avail.

Windham emerged in the
second half and shut down the junior
Warriors offense. Danny Stewart took a
Norman Watson hand off and ran through
the defense to record the first score in the
game. He also would record the two point
conversion.

After the kick off,
Windham demonstrated that they were
physically in better shape and stifled the
offense. After a Warrior punt, Tony Taylor
raced twenty three yards to set up the
Eagles next score. After a handful of
plays, Taylor took a hand off and ran to the
left side of the end zone to record another
six points.

game known. After several carries,
