WYSA OPENS FALL REC. SEASON

08/27/07 - Travel Soccer

U9 Boys

Eleven boys from Windham and Raymond began their travel soccer careers today against Westbrook's U9 Boys Travel Team.

Windham peppered the Westbrook goal with 22 shots on goal while Westbrook's goal keepers came up big with 16 saves.

Every boy played hard and contributed to the team's efforts with a strong defense and a relentless attack on the Westbrook goal. The boys have four games in the Cumberland Just for Fun tournament this coming Saturday.

U13 Girls

Played South Portland in South Portland. Played to a scoreless tie after regulation and two five minute overtimes. The girls won on penalty kicks.

U13 Boys

Played Marshwood on Field 2 behind Field Allen School in Windham. Windham started the scoring, followed by two goals from Marshwood. Windham captured the win with two goals in the second half.

U14 Boys

Played in Windham and although we don't have the specifics we can tell you that this team also won on penalty kicks.

TRAVEL SOCCER

U11 and under are non results oriented. We can not report scores of the games but we will post as many recaps as possible to recognize all the kids' hard work.
